Description:

Eurema alitha (C. & R. Felder, 1862), called the Scalloped Grass Yellow, is a small pierid butterfly. It is an incredibly widespread species occurring throughout its distribution from China and Taiwan across Southeast Asia as far as New Guinea and northern Australia. It is abundant throughout this range, is not affected by any major threats and is therefore assessed as being of Least Concern.

This is the subspecies Eurema alitha jalendra Fruhstorfer, 1910, with Philippine distribution in Balabac, Bohol, Calamian, Cebu, Dumaran, Luzon, Marinduque, Mindoro, Palawan.

Habitat:

Backyard, spotted on a Coat Buttons / Tridax Daisy (Tridax procumbens).
