Cacoon. I rubbed up against this and it's stuck in my arm and gave me a rash for a week now!

Habitat:

In a old barn. Spring, Norther Indiana.

It looks like the cocoon from a type of moth. Some moths have hairs that can cause skin irritation, which you, unfortunately, found out the hard way.
