Field Notes

Description:

Its been a long time since I went for a walk at Ouaisne, and unusually for a manly-man like myself, I stopped to admire some dainty pink flowers and was extremely surprised to see not one but two metamorph agile frogs in amongst them! No idea if they were passing through them, or hunting the tiny insects that I assume visit the tiny flowers? There were also heaps of toadlets in the area, which was well outside any of the delimited agile frog breeding areas.

Habitat:

Sandy, wetland heath.
