Description:
Family: Erebidae, Subfamily: Arctiinae, Tribe: Arctiini (Tiger Moths). TL: 19-26 mm. WS: 50 mm. FW pattern is variable but typically is white with black border broken at apex and anal angle. A black line slants from inner ST area to apex. Some moths are mostly white while others have bold black lines. Usual at rest position is triangular shape. Hosts: Trees and Shrubs including apple and blackberry.
Habitat:
Woodlands, fields and gardens. Will come to light.
