Habitat:

This beauty was found about 20-30 minutes outside El Cope, Panama in Las Ya Yas. First spotted on a bridge around 8:00pm on a rail, and again on the rail further up and away from the falls. This was a densely forested area with waterfalls and lots of rain. Ferns, epiphytes, small-medium herbaceous plants, and palm trees main vegetation.

Species ID Suggestions

Comments (3)

Unfortunately, the best I can offer for ID is that it looks to be a huntsman spider in the giant crab spider family of Sparassidae. Hopefully someone will be able to tell you more.
This is such a beautiful spider! And I love the pose in the second photo. Great spotting!
