Description:

Are you walking in the cloud forests in the area of Monteverde and then you see a big dark blue bird butt right on top of you? High chances are that this is a black guan (pava negra)!
As the quetzals and bell birds these big, turkey-sized birds feed on wild avocados (aguacatillos) (fruits shown in next spotting).

Habitat:

Santa Elena Cloud Forest Reserve.
