Description:

In my yard. It is taller than my house. I can't tell if it is a weed or a tree. Anyone know?

Black Walnut

Well a weed is any plant growing where you do not want it, and you definitely do not want a walnut growing this close to your house.
I've tried identifying from pictures, and it looks like a black walnut tree.. I am unsure because I don't let them get that large.
I have these too at a lake house in Alabama. I have cut them and try digging them out to no avail. The next trip we make a few weeks later they are four feet tall again. I too would like to know what it is!
