Field Notes

Description:

The male has a black crown patch and yellow underparts. Wilson's warbler is a small passerine. They are small and move quickly as they forage through the trees.

Habitat:

Spotted in my backyard. I leave areas with thick vegetation for the birds. Intertwining grape, blackberry, raspberry, boysenberry, Tall Oregon grape, Rhody, and wildflowers along with a variety of trees. These thick undergrowth habitats are essential in attracting a variety of birds.
