Field Notes

Description:

About 1 1/8" long, varying pink/white/yellow markings. The day this photo was from, June 14th, we awoke to 29 rosy maple moths on the front of our house, and the markings were different on almost all of them. Some had bright yellow wings with pink underneath. Some looked faded, some had yellow stripes on pink wings, and others like this one, white stripes on pink wings.

Habitat:

Mixed woodland.
