Field Notes

Description:

The male in the first picture has big fluffy antennae and the forked cerci (tail end). The female in the second picture is stockier and lacks the fuzzy antennae and the complex cerci.

Habitat:

The larvae are aquatic and are associated with standing water. These were found at Bolton Flats WMA in the grasses near a marsh.
