Field Notes

Description:

Solitary mushroom. Was beside another mushroom that looked a lot like it and many small brown mushrooms. It was very large, we provided a comparison between the unidentified specimen and one of the many LBMs. This mushroom was full of small fly like insects and maggots.

Spores appear to be dark.
Color: White with yellowish center
Stem: 11cm tall. Circumfrence of 2.5 cm.
Cap: 17 cm across

Habitat:

Field notes: found two mature mushrooms and one smaller mushroom. All are close to an unidentified tree, with which they may be associated, in front of Heidelberg University's University Hall building.
