Description:

This dessicated newt was found preserved by a pupil on the all weather sports pitch. It must have attempted to cross the pitch and then perished in the hot weather we've been having.

Habitat:

Pond by the sports field.

Notes:

The underside of the newt is spotted and I think it is a smooth newt.
