Field Notes

Description:

Orange-ish or burnt sienna colored with lighter off white hues at very top. Whitish-gray along the edges of cap on some.

Habitat:

Wooded area, ground level, among dead leaves.

Notes:

Not the greatest picture, t'was very muddy.

Coprinellus from the micaceus group, meaning family of the Mica cap. I think it's a great shot, though!

There's definitely some white/gray towards the bottom on some of them, I assumed they were white underneath from that.

Are you sure they're white underneath; looks like they should be black. I would say Coprinopsis/Coprinellus.lkjt
