Description:
caterpillar ~ 1½ inches long with dark rust colored dorsal stripe, small black and white (= bluish looking) spots/highlights along the edges of the rust-colored area and beige hairs along its sides.
Habitat:
Colorado plateau pygmy forest ecosystem.
Notes:
Spotted along the trail to the lookout at Rock Point in Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park.
