Field Notes

Description:

I found this little painter turtle in the sidewalk near the pond near my house. It was going across the road and into the nearby wetlands.

Habitat:

The baby turtle was coming from a nearby pond that's marshy and has a lot of tall grass. The turtle was headed toward the woods across the street, which is wetlands ad mostly pine trees. There is also a lot of marshes near my house.
