Description:

Buttercup family. White Baneberry has a dense, tight, slightly elongated cluster, 1-3 inches of tiny white flowers. Each leaf has a coarse-toothed, oval shaped 2' long, leaflets with pointed ends. The fruit will have a cluster of shiny white berries, each with a single black spot. The berries are poisonous and will cause illness if eaten.

Habitat:

This plant grows in wet, shade, deciduous woods.

Notes:

White Baneberry can be seen near Tamarac Lake.
