Moth

This moth is grey and brown and about 3 cm long. The underwings are grayish with a band along the center (last picture). It sits high up on its legs with the abdomen raised and has extremely hairy legs. The coloring of the scales on the forewings has a 3D effect, creating the look of pale lumps.
