Description:

Me and my grandfather were organizing the yard and we found this cocoon in a vase.

Habitat:

I found this cocoon in a region of transition between the Cerrado and Atlantic Forest.

Anthelidae ? - the caterpillars use their own (stinging) hairs when making the cocoon. Look for pale yellow hairy caterpillars.
So... "ceejayalyssa", it's some cocoon of some Moth. "Ava T-B" and "ChiefRedEarth", thanks! ;) "namitha", yeah, it's a cocoon. I just don't remember the English word for this. Thank you! ;)
