Field Notes

Description:

Unfortunately the field work I do can be disruptive for the forest creatures. Today I broke open a log and found a five-lined skink guarding her eggs. She immediately bolted when I uncovered her. I took a couple of pictures and very carefully placed the top of the log back over the eggs. Hopefully, the mother will return and the eggs will be okay!
