This plant very long and it was draping down quite a ways as you can see in the second photo. I don't know too much about Huperzia lucidula so maybe that is normal?
I think KarenPuracan has the right idea. Maybe something along the lines of Shining clubmoss ... Huperzia lucidula?
I have no idea, really. I am really not familiar with the area or its wildlife.
Is this some sort of club moss?
