Field Notes

Description:

This beetle was seen at a porch light, at around 10:00 pm. These beetles are twig borers of the Texas mulberry tree (Morus celtidifolia). This beetle has light orange spots, with 4 black marking on the elytras, while having grey throughout the rest of the beetle.

Habitat:

In my garden, Fort Worth, Texas.
