Thank you! I think that's exactly what it is. I looked at some other, more blurry pictures I got that I didn't upload, and I could see that little vein that separates it from other species.
At first sight it is an easy one, Hemaris sp. and if you look at the different candidate, at least for me in this case, it is no more an easy one... I think it is Hemaris thysbe, mostly because of the irregular reddish margin on the forewing. The other most important criteria for separation is not visible in your picture. Please, verify, I am not 100% sure about the species... http://bugguide.net/node/view/2638
