Field Notes

Description:

These unusual insects are elongate and often 75 to 95 mm in length, not including the antennae. Females are brownish to brownish green; males are green.

Habitat:

Upper story areas of deciduous forests, mostly in oaks.

Notes:

They may be quite common in some areas and are probably more common than expected but rarely seen due to their proclivity at living high in trees.
