Hello Jeanne, and again Welcome. To add or change anythig simply click "Edit this spotting" at the upper right above you avatar/picture. Make the changes and click the "Save Changes" button at the bottom left. The name I provided in my comment is a general name which is OK to use as a common name if you don't have anything more specific. However Mauna has provided a species ID suggestion. As a suggestion you are encourages to evaluate it. You can search on the species name provided and/or follow the link provided. If it looks like yours and the suggested species has a range that includes your location then you can decide to use the suggestion if you want. Simply copy the names from the suggestion into your spotting in edit mode, into their correct places. Best of luck!
Thank you, S Frazier, for naming our little find! I am new to this website and can't figure out how to change from unknown to its actual name. Is this something you can help me with?
I find it so cool that you spotted this in Olean. :) I've been there quite a few times.
Hello and Welcome to Project Noah! This is a tussock moth caterpillar. I'll move it to the Arthropods group for you.
