Description:
There seems to be diasagreement on the range of this species with the Papua specific reference stating " Known from New Guinea only, widely distributed." and others (e.g. http://www.aus-lep.com/ThumListFam/Sphinghidae/Sphinginae/tn_psilogramm… ) including northeastern Australia.
Habitat:
Spotted on a house wall in a semi-urban mosaic of houses, yards and ornamental vegetation, food gardens and remnant forest. This is in the equatorial tropics of northern New Guinea.
