Description:

The largest one I have ever seen: easily 4 inches

Habitat:

High in the mountains above Kernville.
I believe they were the Greenhorn Range.

Notes:

I love Asiidae! Wish there was a good West Coast Firld guide for them.

ForestDragon I appreciate your suggestion and will go back over my sighting and flush out the info. I'm new at this. Will do better.
This is a very interesting looking Robber Fly. It would be great if you could add the scientific name to this spotting and any of the other spottings in your collection of which you know the identity. Project Noah is also a database, and without a full common AND scientific name, spottings remain in the "unknown" section and can't be used properly by the site. In addition, anyone looking at images for reference would not know what Robber Fly this is (I had to look it up). It would be helpful to add a bit of information on where the organisms have been found, how big they were, you know, descriptive info so other users can get a better idea of how this amazing creature (and any other ones) appeared and maybe where to find one if they wanted to go looking. Thanks!
