Description:

This was a really cool caterpillar. It was yellow with black, brown and orange spots on its back. It was only oboist 1 inch long.

Habitat:

The swallowtail eats several different types of plants in the parsley family. This includes carrot, dill and parsley. The catepillar was on a green onion plant in my garden that was right next to the dill plant.
