Description:

Most likely Dodecatheon jeffreyi, Jeffreys Shooting Star. Taken just above the Mt Rainier Paradise vistor center in May, 2005.

Habitat:

In an open area by a road near the visitor center in the subalpine zone.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that jeffreyi is the only shooting star in the official Rainier plant list.
