Hi Telse, this is a beautiful Stink Bug but I don't think this is Halymorpha halys. Your Stink Bug looks much more rough or lumpy looking and doesn't have the diagnostic white bands on the antennae: Brown Marmorated Stink Bug: http://bugguide.net/node/view/571762 It's quite possible that this insect is from Genus Brochymena (Rough Stink Bugs): http://bugguide.net/node/view/3133/bgpage See what you think.
