Description:

Los tipúlidos (Tipulidae) son una familia de dípteros nematóceros del infraorden Tipulomorpha, conocidos comúnmente como típulas, o zancudos (a los mosquitos también se les llama zancudos). Los adultos son delgados, con patas muy largas y finas; pueden medir de 2 a 60 mm. de longitud (sin contar las patas) aunque las especies tropicales pueden ser aún más grandes.

Habitat:

Bosque subtropical perturbado.

Hola Billo, this looks like a Crane Fly (Tipulidae) and an usually pretty one too! See the long calypters and the V-shaped suture in the middle of the pronotum...
