Field Notes

Notes:

I usually have a great time at the pond... but this day at the pond was rather sad. I spotted a lone Canada Goose. I wondered why it was there all by itself - no Buddies. As I walked past, it was then I noticed a large lump on the right side of it's neck. It was like...OMG... Poor thing. I don't know if this is a Tumor or a injury. Either way, it wasn't a pleasant site. It was obviously bothersome for the Bird, as I watched it try to rub or scratch the lump. I managed to take a few photos and then went home somewhat depressed.

It is difficult to see wild life suffer. Hopefully it is a temporary swelling. At least it seems to be in a safe spot and in it's own habitat.
