Field Notes

Description:

Brackets about 120mm wide growing from a very old eucalyptus branch lying in grasses and other leaf and bark debris. Distinct pink colour throughout but particularly at the velvety growing margins.

Habitat:

In a local nature reserve with dense undergrowth and dominated by small to medium messmate and stringybark.

Notes:

A Gondwana favourite, this is the most colorful specimen I have found. Here are some of the synonyms over the years... <br>
