Hi ecayir99, "Rana" is frog in Spanish. They aren't saying it's in the Genus Rana, they are just saying it's a frog. The Genus Bufo no longer exists in the Americas, and the American Toad is definitely not found in Ecuador.

That isn't a Rana it is in the bufo genus I believe it is a bufo Americanus
