Description:

Endemic to the Philippines

Common in tangles and undergrowth in forests and edges, alone or in pairs. Confined in central and southern luzon overlapping from green-backed species. Call is loud and pulsing, repeated continuously "Chew-ee pee" or "twee-purrrrr"

it was from wild Karen, though its a nature park, it is a home of several endemic and resident species. its from La Mesa Eco-Park of Quezon City, Metro Manila.
Was this wild, or at an aviary? I remember there was a nice aviary somewhere in the Makati area . Have not been to Manila in many years so I don't know if it's still there....
