Field Notes

Description:

This is a female of the species and is differentiated from other verys imilar species by its all black legs. The male is much darker red with a clubbed appearance to its abdomen. Seen between July and November.

Habitat:

seen at the pond dipping section of Potteric Carr nature reserve, owned by the Yorkshire wildlife trust.
