Field Notes

Description:

Herbaceous perennial forming large colonies by spreading by rhizomes. The plant produces one or two large, dark-green leaves and an upright stem of some 20 to 25 cm in height; stem bearing an inflorescence of 10 to 15 small, bell-shaped, white flowers.

Habitat:

Found in an urban garden, growing spontaneously.

Notes:

All parts of the plant are highly poisonous, containing a high number of toxic substances, and if ingested provokes number of symptoms (vomiting, pain, rashes, reduced heart rate etc...) .
