Field Notes

Description:

Honeybee-sized wasp. Mostly yellow abdomen and legs. Protonum black with yellow markings. Dark amber wings.

Habitat:

Rockwood Park, Virginia. Temperate forest. Found in a rotting log when some bark was removed.
