Description:

Note that although the wedge-shaped tail as in picture 4 is a diagnostic feature it is not always visible. When soaring, as in pictures 2 & 3 the tail is fanned widely while in other cases it can be completely closed as in picture 5.

Habitat:

Limestone outcrop in foothills of los Serranos mountains.
