Incredible. Thanks Malcolm!!
This is not a Rock Dove although it is derived from Rock Doves which were domesticated thousands of years ago, interbred with other species producing a variety of unusual plumages and later released or escaped back into the wild where they have polluted most of the worlds population of true Rock Doves, the few remaining survivors being found on isolated coasts in north west Europe. They do have the same scientific name but with the addition of the sub-species name "domestica". True Rock Doves are Columba livia livia. Hope this clarifies the situation.
