Field Notes

Description:

A shrub about 1 m high with wiry hairy branches. Small stalkless leaves with slightly serrated margins and sparse hairs were arranged in whorls around the stem. Flowers were a pinkish white on delicate long pink stems. They hung face down mostly. Stamens were arranged much like that on a dog rose.

Habitat:

Spotted growing in dappled shade on moist ground in a tall eucalyptus forest.
This species is endemic to Australia
