Field Notes

Description:

A weed flower that is yellow and has roots that can spread down very far. It starts popping up at about mid-spring. When it dries up and curls the leaves fall off and many many littles seeds are formed into a little poofy ball.

Habitat:

A place that can provide sun, dirt and a bit of water. Usually a natural place that was not made and is not taken care of much or very well.

Notes:

This dandelion is from a legally protected place bought by the city and had a storm water pond put in. Still the pond holds many species of wildlife.
