Field Notes

Description:

Small section of a pod of Spinner Dolphins swimming a few hundrend feet off shore at Kahe Point, Oahu, Hawaii. It was almost noon, so they were headed back out to sea.

Notes:

The pod was moving quick, and I wasn't able to get great pictures this time. I had to dive down pretty deep for these, so there was very little colored light at that depth.

Thank you. It is a very special experience, one we often took for granted during our time living in Hawaii! This other spotting was by far the best one I photographed, since the pod was swimming in shallow water that day: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/24776089
Beautiful! You're so lucky to be able to dive and see these lovelies where they are healthy and happy!
