Field Notes

Description:

Light pink pendulous flowers growing along a thin stalk with tendrils.

Habitat:

This was spotted growing profusely along the side of the hill; growing without any evidence of receiving care although the hillside forms the boundary of a Hotel in Ooty, a busy tourist destination in Tamil Nadu, India.

Notes:

I understand the fruit looks like a banana and is edible.
