Description:
A small compact falcon, length of a jay; suggests a miniature Peregrine. Female - Dusky brown with banded tail, Male- Blue-gray above, with broad black bands on a gray tail.
Habitat:
Open conifer woodlands in migration, Also in marshes, foothills, and open country.
