Description:

The common name of this tree is the Bradford Pear. It is known for the white flowers that appear in the spring. These flowers are very pretty but they do not smell good. The leaves then appear after the flowers bloom. The fruits that grow from these trees are round and have a diameter that is less than one inch. The Bradford Tree is beets disease resistant but has a short lifespan for trees: 25-30 years.

Habitat:

The Bradford Pear tree tolerates a variety of soil. However, it mainly prefers full sun but will tolerate partial shade.

Notes:

This tree is used as a street tree and is usually placed on the side of streets as decoration.
