Field Notes

Description:

There was this mobile phone sized patch with vertically upwards growing white tips of either a root or a fungus. Roots do not grow upwards...but maybe the soil was washed away or something....fungus????

Habitat:

Under trees in the compound of the Sans souci bungaloww, Nilgiri Hills, Coonoor.

Notes:

Root or Fungus? Nothing similar anywhere else nearby or elsewhere in the extensive grounds. Quite confused. help...anyone?
