Field Notes

Description:

Black and yellow potter wasp, large compared to European ones, measuring around 4,5 cm body length.

Habitat:

Urban settlement, close to small pathes of jungle.

Notes:

This compared to it's european relatives was quite curious, when I waved my hand in front of it's flightpath, it hovered around it to check it out. Even landing on occation. It was collecting materials or making a nest for its larvae. Occationally I see it patrolling the trees in the garden, looking for prey to feed its offspring.
