Field Notes

Description:

A medium sized Sphinx with camouflage bark coloring and bright orange underwings. It had white antennae. It also had some pollenia stuck to it's mouthparts (visible in Pictures 4, 5 and 6), indications that it had already been out feeding and pollenating somewhere.

Habitat:

Came to the parking lights of a shopping mall, San Cristobal de Las Casas, 2,200 meters. I took it home and released it in the woods.
