Field Notes
Description:
Small delicate fungi with dark striated caps covered with white fibrules which were easily brushed off. Stem is narrow, straight, white and fibrous. The margin of the cap was incredibly soft.. possibly already deliquesing? Only two were found and the largest one was about 25mm across and 45mm tall.
Habitat:
In grassy area in a eucalyptus dominated, usually dry, state park forest.
Notes:
Sometimes commonly known as 'Harefoot mushroom' this short lived delicate fungus is also highly variable in both size and appearance. <br>
