Description:
… a moth of the Noctuidae family. It is found in the Afrotropic ecozone. The wingspan is about 60 mm. The larvae feed on peach and Sapindus species.
Habitat:
Maputo, grassfields at the international airport. (meadowland)
Notes:
I had almost gave up on the Mozambican moths... I have tried to keep the balcony light on, but I think that the geckos out there are faster than me...
Today my luck changed and I found this day active, metallic blue beauty! It was hard to take a picture of it since it just sat down for a few seconds before it flew off again... But I finally got some OK shots. I am happy to be able to contribute to moth-week :)
